This restaurant simply called The Door, offers elegant dining in a relaxed atmosphere with their cherry wood furniture and red plush chairs. The Door is very popular among customers in the area and serves authentic Caribbean dishes.
The Door is a very popular venue on Sundays when residents flock for their Sunday all- you-can-eat brunch between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday brunch is reasonably priced at $10.99.
In fact, all the dishes at The Door are quite reasonable, ranging in price from $7 to $12. All dishes are served with your choice of rice or rice and peas or staples including boiled green bananas, yams, sweet and Irish potatoes.
On Saturday nights live Reggae music plays from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. and customers get to enjoy live Jazz music from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Sundays.
The Door serves a variety of seafood including escoveitched fish, (onions, peppers, carrots sautéed with vinegar) brown stewed fish, steamed fish; the ever popular oxtail, curried goat as well as a variety of chicken dishes.
Your lunch or dinner choice of jerked chicken, curried chicken, curried goat, stewed chicken, stewed peas served with beef or ackee and sailfish comes with your choice of staples, tossed salad or steamed vegetables and plantains.
Fresh juices are made daily and include carrot juice, mango juice, ginger beer and fruit punch. The fruit punch comes blended with strawberry, pineapple and just a hint of ginger.
A variety of Jamaican desserts are served, including black fruit cake, plain cake and other sliced cakes.
The Door also caters to many affairs and will cater to your event either in-house or will serve you party sizes for your event at another location.
