Perci’s Jerk Hut specializes in Jamaican Jerk dishes and other dishes that are unique to the island, catering to the large number of West Indians and other ethnic groups in that neck of the woods who pack the restaurant on a daily basis to get their Caribbean flavored meals on demand.

They also get a great crowd from the rest of the borough – and even Brooklyn and Manhattan – who know good jerk when they see it.

Perci’s meats are prepared in the traditional Jamaican method, “marinated in Perci’s special seasonings then slowly cooked to perfection,” according to the manager.

Jerked chicken is very popular with Perci’s customer and can be bought as quarter chicken ($3.95), half chicken ($7.50), three quarter chicken ($11), or whole chicken for $13.95. Be sure to specify whether you’d like white meat or dark meat when ordering your jerked chicken. Perci’s meticulously blended sauce is optional with your jerked chicken order and comes in three choices, hot, jerk or sweet.

The dinner choice of jerked chicken ($6.50/$850), curried chicken ($6.50)/$8.50), curried goat ($6.50/$8.50), stewed chicken ($6.50/$8.50), stewed peas served with beef ($7/$9), oxtail ($7.50/$$9.50), ackee and sailfish ($8/$9) is served with rice and peas or white rice, toss salad or steamed vegetables and plantains.

Order the combo dinner in large with any two meats for $9.50, or go even larger and order the mega dinner for $10.50, also served with any two meats of your choice or the half a chicken dinner for $10.

Perci’s serves up “reggae meals” that offers jerk wings (four wings) for $4, chicken with bammy ($6) and chicken with fries ($6). Order any two reggae meals and pay only $6.99. The reggae meal is served with bammy, breadfruit or festival.

Seafood lovers can delight their appetite and order the king fish for$6.50 or the king fish dinner ($9), escoveitched (onions, peppers, carrots sautéed with vinegar) snapper ($8/$12), steamed snapper with rice or bammy ($14) or roasted fish ($8).

The seafood is done to order, so be sure to call before going in so that it prepared and waiting for you when you get there.

A variety of soups is served daily and cost between $2 and $5.25. Whether you’re in the mood for chicken, gungo (pigeon) peas, fish or red peas soup, there is a whole range for you to choose from.

Perci’s offers expedited service by inviting you to call 15 minutes before going in so as to have your order ready and waiting for pick up.

Perci’s sells their own brand of juices ($3), carrot juice, sorrel, Irish moss and soursop.

Frequent customers can request a VIP number by calling (718) 528-JERK. Perci’s will also cater to your special events.
