When it comes to Chinese take-out, it seems most of the time that there is nothing new or different between one restaurant and another.

That is no longer true thanks to Jade King, which combines a diverse menu with a technological advance that is sure to make your average tech-savvy customer grin from ear to ear.

Jade King is set on the corner of 192nd Street and Union Turnpike, close to many neighborhoods and offering a wide delivery range, but it is also a spacious sit-down restaurant with a setting of soft light, a gurgling fish tank, two separate dining rooms and a sushi bar – yes, a sushi bar – that cannot be beat.

After all, Jade King offers Chinese and Japanese cuisine, and does them both with spectacular grace, a light touch and hearty portions.

In addition to all the regular dishes you might find at your typical take-out joint, Jade King offers a great selection of specials and one-of-a-kind dishes.

Prawn and Steak Kew, strips of filet mignon with mushroom sauce served with shrimp and broccoli in a wine sauce is a delightful combination. The filet is tender, the mushrooms earthy, the shrimp light and the broccoli still with a slight snap.

On the Japanese side of the menu you can find all your standard udon, teriyaki and edamame – but Jade King’s sushi menu is what truly makes the visit.

The restaurant has taken on the personality of the customers, with special rolls named for regular customers – Stanley, David and Andy. There is the What’s Up Roll, with eel, yellowtail, avocado, crunch, spicy mayo and tobiko. The Final 4 roll has, you guessed it, four different fish – salmon, tuna, yellowtail and fluke – along with asparagus, spicy mayo, crunch and wasabi tobiko. You want an homage to the Jewish population? Try the Tuna Salad Roll – cooked tuna, mayo, celery and tobiko.

And to top it all off is the tech advance that puts this place head and fins above all the rest – you can order online for pick-up or delivery. Simply go to jadekingrestaurant.com and order from the whole menu, see pictures of the food and get directions for pick-up.

Another bonus is that beyond the standard free soda or egg roll with a large order, you can get a free dish of cold sesame noodle for orders of more than $15. For more than $25 you can get a free order of chicken wings, honey ribs or dumplings.

All in all, it’s a great value, incredibly convenient and completely delicious. Enjoy!
