A new all-natural ice-cream parlor, Caribbean Creamery, opened just three weeks ago and will host a grand opening Saturday, June 24.

“Our ice-cream is all natural with no preservatives,” said co-owner, Cleon. “We also serve Blue Mountain Coffee, fresh pastries with no food coloring and various kinds of tea that are made brewed from tea leaves.”

Caribbean Creamery serves up ice creams that are both Caribbean and American-flavored. An original by Caribbean Creamery is the ginger flavored ice cream; this is a mixture of sweet with tiny bits of ginger with a flavor that subtle and not too over powering.

I sampled almost all the flavors that Caribbean Creamery had to offer and I was “oohing” and “aahing” the whole time. All the ice cream flavors are truly delicious!

Caribbean Creamery offers shots for their coffee and serves different flavored coffees like amaretto. Blue Mountain is sold for coffee $1.75 and $1.95 per cup.

Fresh leaf tea is brewed and infused right in front of the customers while they wait. Tea flavors include Serene, which is made with the leaves of lavender, lemon myrtle, peppermint.

Each cup of tea costs $1.50 or $1.75. I sampled the Mango Melba tea that truly tasted and smelled just like real mango. Customers can also take home their own pack or can of tea ($4.50, $5.50) and make it at home. Tea baskets are also on sale and come with a teapot, tea, teacups and filters and an infused.

Caribbean Creamery offers free WiFi service where customers can bring their laptops and sign on to the Internet while they enjoy their coffee or tea in the mornings.

Pastries sold include red velvet cake, carrot cake, Jamaican black cake, and pound cake with cheese frosting.
Of course the cakes are made with all natural ingredients and no food coloring.

Caribbean Creamery’s cakes sell for $3 per slice or $45 for a whole cake.

Ice cream cost $2.85 for the small or “nickel” size, $3.35 for the medium or “nuff” and $3.85 for the large or “whole heap.”

Ice cream flavors include Pralines and Cream, Java Jive that leaves a sweet coffee taste in your mouth, cinnamon, Grape Nut, toasted coconut and strawberry, which is actually white because there’s no food coloring added but is dripping with real strawberries in jelly.

Kid-oriented ice creams are available in bubble gum, which is bright pink with actual pieces of bubble gum and the cotton candy, which is bright blue.

“We add food coloring to the kids ice-cream only because kids like to see color,” said Cleon.

Caribbean Creamery also serves Raspberry and Lemon Sorbet will definitely be a popular item during the upcoming summer months.

Be sure to check out this new all natural ice creamery and satisfy your crave for something sweet without the guilt of cheating out on your diet.
