Models Of Queens Biker Babe

Gina Cheung
Home: Forest Hills
Age: 26
Height: 5’2"
Weight: 100 lbs
Stats: 32-24-35

Vroom, vroom, you better look out when Gina is riding through. This Forest Hills model may seem cute and sweet on camera, but she has an adventurous side. A motorcycle aficionado, Gina can really churn up the dirt on her bike, with the very best of them.

“I have been fascinated with bikes since I was a little girl,” she said. Like her favorite motorcycle expert, Eric Bostrom, Gina can show off on the track with a slew of tricks and wheelies.

Gina has been modeling since 2004. One of her most cherished modeling experiences was appearing in a November 2005 issue of the popular women’s magazine “Marie Claire.”

On the short side at 5’2", Gina says she makes up for her small height with her dynamic personality, sense of humor, and enthusiasm. She said that though she may not have the ideal height for catwalk modeling, she would be willing to try different lines of the profession.

After earning a business degree from Baruch College, Gina showed her entrepreneurial side with a unique business idea: starting a clothing line for dogs.

“I have a pug named ‘Puggy,’ and I’ve dressed her up since she was a baby,” Gina explained when asked what gave her the idea for a dog clothing line. Gina’s doggy designs can be found at www.namidog.com -- the site is currently under construction.

Living in Forest Hills, Gina says that she enjoys Austin Street and other great spots that Queens has to offer. “I love it,” she said. “I’d rather live here than anywhere else in New York because it is a very peaceful community and it’s convenient.”

Mike Or George?

Bloomberg and Lucy Liu

Rumors have been flying about Jackson Heights’ Lucy Liu’s romance with George Clooney. The couple dated briefly back in 2000 and sparks flew again between the two New Year’s Eve.

The 37-year-old Liu has been enjoying the nightlife with 44-year-old Clooney, but he isn’t the only older man Liu seems to have a thing for. She seems pretty cozy and in love here with her eyes all closed giving Mayor Mike Bloomberg some love at a UNICEF ceremony in the City.

SWAK!

A Gene Simmons Kiss Stamp

For the cheap price of $.39, KISS revelers can get the lips, but they’ll have to use their own tongue. 70s Queens rock legend Gene Simmons of the megagroup KISS, has smooched his way all across the world by providing his puckers for a limited edition U.S. Postage stamp, available to those who use Pitney Bowes stamp software – or who order online – with 20 percent of the proceeds going toward the Humane Society.

The stamps can be purchased by logging on to www.zazzle.com. The offering ends Feb. 28.

Ain’t That A Kick In the Glass

It was 31 ago when James Rohrer and Richard Setti, a couple of Glass Crafters, were hanging around their basements wasting the day away shaping and molding stained glass never knowing that their unusual interest, at the time, would morph into a million dollar business.

The two buddies, who grew up three blocks apart in Queens, are now bringing in the bucks with their company Glass Crafters, a stained glass supply warehouse with 12 employees doing around $1 million in annual sales. And to think, they started small with a shop on Middle Neck Road in Great Neck.

Maybe it was Rohrer’s degree in industrial design from Pratt Institute that helped them seal deals with American Express, designing a line of lamps for their catalog, or the Tavern on the Green and the now-closed Russian Tea Room, where they installed magnificent glass panels.
Whatever it was, it was certainly something.

But like many New Yorkers who rake in the big bucks, the guys looked towards a warmer climate in 1994 and moved the whole operation down to Sarasota, Florida.

Wherever future endeavors lead these artisans, we’re sure to always view them through Queens-colored glasses.

Sweets For The Sweet

QConf received this onion delivery

Sure, we get some packages sent to the offices of QConf. We’ve seen Starbuck’s coffee, cleaning solutions, ice cream, bagels and orange juice, giant promotional apples and beverages by the case.

But onions?

Apparently the folks at OSO Sweet are trying to spread the word about the tender flavor and sweet aromas of their onions. Well, sure. We love onions. But could somebody send us some mouthwash next?

Size Matters

The Donald is not happy that author Timothy O’Brien understated his wealth in the recently published book “TrumpNation: The Art of Being The Donald.”
Trump is suing for $2.5 billion. The 228-page book was released last October. According to reports, O’Brien is accused of damaging the Donald’s reputation. O’Brien quoted unnamed sources as saying the big Daddy “was not remotely close to being a billionaire” and that he was only worth $250 million, tops. The lawsuit suggests Trump’s
fortune as being closer to $2.7 billion.
