Bella Rocks

Bella Home: Kew Gardens Age: 20 Height: 5’7" Weight: 120 Stats: 34-27-34
In the words of Bon Jovi: “Let it rock! Let it roll! You can’t stop the fire burnin’ out of control.” That’s what 20-year-old Bella from Kew Gardens is all about. Aside from strutting her stuff in front of a camera, this beauty knows how to rock! Bella is the lead singer of her band The Fire And Reason, and can sing with engine-churning power from deep down inside. She describes her band as something in the nature of industrial and electronic rock.
“I’ve been concentrating on pursuing my musical dreams lately,” Bella said. “Our band has been performing a lot of shows to build a fan base. We’ve really been pushing ourselves to the extreme.” The Fire And Reason has been together for two years and played in venues such as The Red Zone in Middle Village and clubs around Manhattan.
Bella, who is an ethnic mix of Italian and Brazilian, was born in Flushing, but has lived in places like Brazil and Paraguay. “For a girl from Flushing, I’ve had the opportunity to experience so much more than most New Yorkers.”
Though much of her efforts these days are in her music, Bella still makes time to portray her beauty in the modeling world. She began modeling as a young teenager on the runways of Brazil, and now does promotional work at Webster Hall and recently did a promo for ABC’s “The Super Nanny.”
A proud Queens resident, Bella frequently works out at the New York Sports Club in Forest Hills, and likes to experience the outdoors in Flushing Meadows Park and Memorial Field in Bayside. At night, she enjoys bowling and likes to knock the pins down at Woodhaven Lanes.
“Queens is a very nice community,” she said. “I like it because it is very spread out.”

| Daddy Times Five
|
| Melania, Mommy-to-be Trump
|
The Donald – times five.
So there’s another addition coming to the Trump Empire. However, news seemed to hit the streets before daddy spilled the beans.
The 59-year-old real estate and media mogul from Jamaica Estates was seen on Entertainment Tonight last Monday denying rumors that his wife, Melania Knauss-Trump was expecting.
However, the next day news was plastered everywhere that 35-year-old Knauss-Trump said she would deliver a baby Trump in the spring. Didn’t he know?
“He said, ‘Oh, great!’ He was very happy,” Knauss-Trump said Tuesday while on Martha, the new show hosted by Donald’s apprentice Apprentice, Martha Stewart.
The Donald’s brood already includes two sons and a daughter from his marriage to Ivana, and a daughter with second wife, Marla Maples.
Melania is worth watching.

Ride 'em Cowboy
Texan women are renown for standing by their men, but during dangerous storms, they also expect their men to stand by them.
A QConf reporter overheard a man at LaGuardia Airport ticket counter asking for a plane to Dallas on Thursday, two days before Hurricane Rita was supposed to slam the Lone Star State.
“You know, everybody’s heading out of Texas, not in,” the reporter said.
“My wife called me this morning,” the man said in a thick Texas drawl. “She said, ‘the winds are getting up to 174 miles an hour, you better get your butt back here and look after the family.’”
Sounds like Rita isn’t the only woman in Texas worth being afraid of.

Sunshine
Jailed criminal Michael Aquino, who was arrested in September at his Queens home on espionage charges, is asking the government to leak something on him: Sunlight. Aquino faces criminal charges for allegedly passing confidential U.S. information about the political climate in the Philippines to three as-of-yet unidentified Filipino government officials.
The former Philippine Police Superintendent has been stuck for two weeks inside his cell at the Passaic County Correctional facility in New Jersey. Officers from the Philippine consulate—his first visitors—came to check on Aquino’s condition last week, and reported, “He has two requests—that his family be allowed to visit him and for him to get some sun.”

Comic Friends
|
| Ridgewood born Richie Minervini
|
When Richie Minervini and Ridgewood born Sal Richards take the stage at the Oct. 15 Comedy Fest in Westbury, each may or may not tell the story of how they became friends, but one of them still remembers how he got his start in the business.
Minervini, a Long Island native who once worked as a Century 21 real estate agent, was enamored by Richards’ performance decades ago at Leonard’s of Great Neck and wanted input on how to get started in comedy.
According to Minervini, a short time later the two got together at Richards’ house and drove to an event in Richards’ Cadillac. Because it was a long drive, at some point, Richards’ asked Minervini to take the wheel until they got to their destination.
Minervini complied and at the end of the drive, when the two got out of the car, fans began to recognize Richards. When someone asked who Minervini was, Richards allegedly said, “That’s my driver,” and then asked Minervini, “Could you get the bags out of the trunk too?”

Show About A Reality Show
|
| Andy from the hood
|
Apparently MTV bigwigs stooped to desperate measures when they came up with the idea for “The Reality Show,” a new series, which airs Tuesday nights at 10:30 p.m. And who better than “a good looking East Coast guy from Queens” to compete in the show, which is hosted by feminine-voiced funnyman Andy Dick and a slew of reality series castaways.
The show selects from 10 finalists who will become the star of their own reality series, picked from video applications aired and judged by Dick and his guests.
Among the 10 lucky contestants is Andy from “the hood,” as listed on the MTV.com Web site. His entry submission depicted Andy’s life as a guy who lives at home with his parents in Queens and “spends most of his time hanging out with the boys.” Andy’s Uncle Bobby figures to be a main focus in the potential series, as the 42 year-old bachelor is sought out for pearls of wisdom as Andy tries to handle an opposite sex relationship.
As reality shows come and go, after their 15 minutes of fame Queens reality show stars can always find their spot on QConf.
Good Luck, Andy.
