Dorm Build Begins:
Construction has officially begun on the St. John’s University dorm located at 172-14 Henley Rd. in Jamaica Estates, as 110 piles were driven into the ground at the site Tuesday. Community members are up in arms about the construction, saying it is inappropriate for their residential community and the university had no dialogue with them prior to signing the lease for the site.
