Never Be Bored

This time every year the world’s eyes fall on Queens’ Flushing Meadows Corona Park for the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament.

This year, the men’s and women’s final will surely be watched by adoring tennis fans around the world.

Fans will be at the edges of their seats both at the Billy Jean King Tennis Center and at home. This time is truly special for the borough.

But for residents, the U.S. Open should not be the only time to cheer for Queens. The borough hosts events year round that also should get hearts beating.

As readers of this special “Arts and Culture” edition of the Queens Tribune can see, there are concerts, dance performances, art shows, film festivals and museums exhibitions to fill anyone’s social calendar.

So use this week’s Tribune as a reference to never be bored in the borough for the rest of your life.
