Blind Government

It’s absolutely mind boggling that the same Queens legislative members fighting to dig their communities out of the foreclosure mess would fall for the same traps when passing the state budget.

The budget is a pipe dream that the state can not actually afford. The fiscal irresponsibility is the same as that of a homebuyer signing contracts to a home way out of his or her price range.

The difference is, instead of the debt crushing the homeowner and his or her family, the budget crushes our communities and future.

Money has been promised to Queens organizations, communities, developments and individuals that the state can only deliver by borrowing money the next generation will have to pay for.

Every member in the legislature raised their hand in favor of a budget with more expenditures than revenues.

Call your legislative officials and have them explain why they are dragging the state farther into debt and, in this economic state, how they can be so optimistic.
