Found
Last year, a grand mural that once adorned the walls of a
former Long Island Savings Bank disappeared and although the wherabouts of the missing
masterwork of art is still a mystery, a postman, a couple of custodians, and some history
buffs have come together to restore its memory and unveil a replica at a recent ceremony.

Hollywood To Queens
Film and theater expert Jim Levey will present a multi-media
retrospective on the History of Film in America at the Bay Terrace Branch of the Queens
Public Library on Saturday, May 19 at 2 p.m. Levey is currently teaching a 3-part adult
education course on the Yiddish Theater at the Selfhelp Clearview Senior Center in
Bayside. Next class is on Friday, May 18th at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free for all shows. |
