Under the mistletoe, anything can happen.

U Is for Underwear, sitting under the tree

Be it warm, sheer, plain or sexy

It keeps us cozy in the cold winter night

We all get it as presents but keep it tucked out of sight

Underwear, Sexy

Santa Claus usually frowns on naughtiness, but when it comes to giving sexy underwear as a gift, he might be willing to make an exception.

Nothing completes a romantic night snuggled up with a loved one in front of the fireplace like a lace trim camisole. Or maybe a silk teddy is more your style. Either way, it’s a gift that keeps on giving.

Many lingerie stores are offering special lines of Christmas items for couples to spice up more than just the holiday cider. Victoria’s Secret, for example, launched a series of gift sets called Sexy Little Things, which combine underwear with sexy items like blindfolds.

After all, Christmas shouldn’t just be about spending time with family, but starting them too.

Underneath

The Mistletoe

This is the place where magic happens. Grab your sweetheart and head underneath the mistletoe for a sweet, romantic kiss. The mistletoe is a green plant hung over the doorway as part of a long time Christmas tradition. It is believed that various ancient tribes began the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe because they saw the plant as sacred.

Watch out for it at holiday parties, though. You may get a sudden surprise from a co-worker. On the other hand, that might not be such a bad idea. Mmmm. Merry Christmas to me.

Up on the House Top

Santa’s landing spot is up on the roof. It’s so popular it has its own song. “Up on the house top, click, click, click, down through the chimney comes old St. Nick.”

What a busy night St. Nick has on Christmas Eve as he travels all around the world to deliver gifts to children. Using his flying reindeer as a means of travel speeds up the night and keeps him clear of traffic. Once he sets down, he then slips down the chimney and leaves the goodies under the Christmas tree.

Of course in Queens there are often dilemmas raised with apartment buildings. We have heard that he parks on the roof and works his way through steam pipes to get into people’s houses. Pretty sneaky, that Claus character is.

USPS holiday stamps are fun and collectible.

USPS Stamps

If you’re going to send someone a gift, why not make the packaging part of the present?

The United States Postal Service just released its 2005 Holiday stamps, which depict festive symbols meant to bring out a little cheer. The stamps feature images like cookie-shaped gingerbread men, Santa Claus, snowmen and an angel.

“What would the holidays be without cookies?” said Anita Bizzotto, USPS executive vice president and chief marketing officer, who unveiled the new designs. “These cookie stamps are a great way to share the joy of the season.”

The stamps are available at all 38,000 post offices – which should be decked out in Holiday decorations – or online at www.usps.com.
