These are tumultuous times for local businesses - and hospitals and health centers are no exception.
With the recent closing of New Parkway Hospital and the fragile state of St. John's Queens Hospital and Mary Immaculate - both facing possible closures - healthcare in Queens is, sadly, not immune to the vicissitude caused by the economic recession.
