Fatal Crash Follows Minor One

After surviving a minor accident on the LIE unscathed, a 61-year-old man was struck by a truck as he pulled his car back onto the road, said 104th Pct. Police. The man had stopped to exchange information with another driver following the first crash, and was hit by a tractor trailer and caused a small pile up as he drove back on to the expressway at Maurice Avenue on Wednesday afternoon. At least one other vehicle and a City ambulance collided attempting to avoid the tractor trailer, said police. The victim was not immediately identified pending notification of his family.
