BANK BANDIT SOUGHT:

The police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted for two bank robberies in Flushing.

On Feb. 11, at approximately 11:12 a.m., the suspect entered the Apple Bank at 43-73 Kissena Blvd., passed a note to a teller demanding cash while displaying a silver-colored cylindrical object. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot. On Feb. 20, at approximately 11:50 a.m., the suspect entered the Flushing Savings Bank at 44-43 Kissena Blvd., passed a note to a teller demanding cash while displaying a small silver handgun. The teller complied and the suspect fled on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, 5-foot-7, medium build, last seen wearing a white knit hat, white overcoat, a fake mustache and fake teeth. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
