The team of Ellen Simken, manager, Chef Danny and owner Matty Geohegan always offer interesting events such as Saturday Night Karaoke and Murder Mystery Nights. Also, the White House is a favored spot for parties large or small. The downstairs room is especially great for large private parties or banquets.

One of the interesting things about our visits to the White House is getting a free history lesson. Matty is a history buff. This time we learned that Lewes, Delaware was the first town in the first state. The memorabilia is fascinating. Read the walls!

During the week, the menu offers both new and traditional items. The Polenta American appetizer is a good choice (grilled corn polenta topped with Proscuitto, spinach, roasted tomato and melted mozzarella finished in a Portobello/marsala sauce- $7.95).

Under the "Pastabilities" section of the menu , try the Bar harbor Lobster Ravioli or choose from the special certified USDA choice steaks hand cut and de-boned to Chef Dan’s specifications. These open-grilled steaks are served with salad, creamed spinach, baked potato and sour cream. Choose from Dan’s Blackened Rib Eye, Bourbon Street, Colorado, Peppercorn, NY Times Square or the Presidential ($16.95- $17.95).

When it comes to desserts, they are all made on the premises including the brought-back-by-popular-demand Key Lime Pie and the Boston Chocolate Cheesecake.
