You can travel the world over dinner at the Pacific World Restaurant.
Pacific Worlds concept is very simple. When it comes to space and
food: think big. Walking into this vast space, one can easily be overtaken by the
two-story fountain. Its more like a waterfall, with flying dolphins. The restaurant
can easily seat 1,000. Theres also a bar and two party rooms for special
engagements.
The main attraction is the international buffet. For $18.95 Pacific
World promises you the world. Just grab a plate and get lost in the different food
sections. In one corner there is a sushi bar with fresh California and Tuna rolls. There
is also Miso Soup, among other favorites.
The carving board section offers grilled chicken, BBQ short ribs, fresh
turkey and fresh ham, with the accompanying mashed potato.
Pacific World has great seafood. Start off with raw oysters, mussels,
or the hearty baked clam and keep some room for the jumbo red snapper, or the blue fish
thats oven baked in different sauces. Great sides for these dishes would be sweet
plantains and fried rice with baby shrimp.
In the middle of the buffet is a cold salad bar full of greens. There
is also a daily soup. The New England Chowder is always a favorite.
The hard part about this restaurant is that it takes a lot of self-discipline since
there is new a beginning every time you go back to the buffet. Separate from the buffet is
scrumptious dish of lobster or snow crab legs. Dessert includes a fruit salad bar.
