With a menu that transcends regional and
cultural boundaries, Michaels Grill prides itself on variety. From gyros to falafel,
burgers to pasta, and pizza to seafood, your palate will be free to land in any number of
culinary destinations. Best of all, Michaels boasts some of the most reasonable
prices to be found in Bayside and beyond.
Michaels most popular specialties are the traditional
Greek dishes. The chef recommended the Chicken Souvlaki Sandwich ($5.50), served in a
delicious sauce on a pita with french fries. The most popular dishes also include the beef
($3.75) or chicken ($4.50) gyros, which are also available on a platter ($7.50), served
with Greek salad, pita, tziziki, french fries or rice.
After indulging in both American appetizers such as buffalo
wings ($4.00) and Mozzarella Sticks ($4.50), and Greek appetizers like Stuffed Grape
Leaves (3.75) and Saganaki ($5.75), it is easy to forget that a main course still awaits.
Michaels is also a full service pizzeria, serving up
superb, regular, Sicilian, and pan slices, with the usual assortment of toppings. You can
get two slices and a fountain soda for only three bucks.
Shifting gears once more, the menu includes several excellent
seafood entrees, ranging from the Broiled Filet of Soul ($10.95) to Fried Calamari
($8.50).
Perhaps Michaels greatest strength is their specials,
like the Mousaka or Pastitchio with Greek Salad lunch plate ($6.25). Michael also
recommended the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, ($5.25).
For the early riser on the go, Michaels offers almost a
dozen Quick Breakfasts, to choose from, including bagels and coffee, egg on a
roll, or muffins, all for under $2.00. If you prefer to savor your breakfast, then you
should try the American Breakfast ($5.50), which comes with two eggs, home fries,
pancakes, bacon, sausage, and ham. Or the health conscious Doctors Slam ($6.50),
featuring an egg white omelet, with lettuce, tomato, pancakes, coffee and tea.
For dessert, try some of Michaels homemade Greek
specialties, such as the Baklava ($1.95), and the Galactobrusko ($1.95).
Michaels also offers catering services for parties of
any size, and free delivery.
