This new, petite, informal restaurant specializes in traditional
Argentinean, Italian and Colombian foods. Starting with breakfast, you can enjoy Colombian
dishes from Arepa ($2.50) to Country Style Breakfast ($8.50) which includes grilled steak,
scrambled eggs, sausages, corn cake and cheese as well as mixed rice and beans.
American style breakfast features omelets or eggs in several styles
with ham, sausage or bacon. Included with all the fore mentioned are French or Home Fries
and toast as well as coffee or chocolate or tea or sugar cane water.
For between meal snacks there are Empanadas and Arepas with meat or
chicken ($2 to $4). There are also daily special soups ranging from vegetable to Colombian
country style.
The evening my dinner companion and I visited, we first enjoyed a
shared pitcher of cold Sangria made with wine, fruit juices and brandy. Then we shared one
of the house specials, Super Manayre Platter a grilled steak, half a chicken,
Chorizo (sausages), Fried Pork Rinds, rice topped with a fried egg, Arepa (corn cake),
sliced
avocado and sweet Fried Plantain ($12.50). We also enjoyed an Italian
specialty from the Pasta Selections of the menu, Noquis Caseros (home made gnocchi) with a
light tomato sauce ($8.50).
Our attentive, young waitress, Antonella, suggested that for dessert we
try the large portion of soft, sweet Rice Pudding topped with raisins. It was great with
our coffee.
Congratulations to Marcello Rodriquez and his staff for bringing this
mixed cuisine menu to our area.
