They started in East Norwich with individual pizzas and individualized service. Now, they are in Queens with the same good food, quick service, catering and cooked-to order meals. You can even call and have it all delivered.

Newly opened, this cozy, family-friendly restaurant offers a good selection of Italian cuisine with wines and beers.

In a conversation with Chef Giovanni, we chose some of his specialties. As appetizers we relished the large bowl of escarole and bean soup ($6.95) and fresh asparagus topped with bread crumbs and parmigiana. The “Goldilocks” soup was just right- light, rich and with the ingredients tender but not mushy.

From the several featured day’s entrees we chose home-made Gnocchi topped with a marvelous, light Bolognese sauce, which has mixed meats, tomatoes and garlic  ($11.95). My partner enjoyed the Angel Hair pasta topped with shrimp, mushrooms, artichokes and broccoli in a light red sauce ($14.95) along with a pleasant glass of house Pinot Grigio white wine.

It was interesting to note a nearby diner ordering. He was a vegetarian so co-owners Tomasso and Sal, along with Chef Giovanni, offered an Angel Hair Primavera with veggies which the gentleman enjoyed immensely.  Such cooked-to-order meals are a specialty of the house along with seafood in many styles.

Children and the young-at-heart seem to enjoy the individual pizzas. We saw youngsters ordering pizzettas ranging from the classic Margharita to the sophisticated Quattro Stagioni, which includes tomato sauce, mozzarella, artichokes, olives, onions and eggplant ($7.95). Heroes of assorted meats from chicken to sausage range from $5.95 to $6.95.

The restaurant also offers a daily lunch special Tuesdays through Fridays from 11:30 until 3:30 p.m. This includes an appetizer, choice of entrée and coffee or tea at a bargain ($7.95).

We ended our dinners with a delicious Zabaglione (whipped egg yolk with sugar and Marsala wine) topped with a strawberry and a rich personalized Peche Melba (fresh sliced peaches, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream). Yummy!
