This very large restaurant features
Chinese, Korean and Japanese cuisines. You may opt for the Dim Sun (little heart), the
buffet spread or table service.
In the table service room, the Cantonese
specialty of using rolling carts to bring tidbits to your table is featured. On the carts
and in separate containers are hot oriental favorites ranging from baked, steamed or fried
items to glazed chicken feet. You may be offered four small dumplings with a variety of
fillings in a steamer basket (good for two people). There may also be steamed buns
containing pork, vegetables or shrimp. There may also be pork dumplings, fried dumplings,
beef balls, spring rolls or leaf-wrapped sticky rice. Each container is placed on your
table and you are charged by the container. Seven containers (enough for a lunching
twosome) came to approximately $14. Tea in a bottomless pot is gratis. For dessert, there
are several types including custard tarts, colorful jello triangles, sponge cake etc.
At the buffet table, offerings differ daily or even by the
hour. The restaurant advertises that it features over 150 items daily. Soups offered
include classics such as Miso and New England Clam Chowder as well as the more exotic Fish
Cake soup. Noodles range from cellophane to the thicker Chow Fun along with assorted fish,
meats or vegetables. Vegetable dishes range from the really long Chinese String Beans to
the Oriental Eggplant which is especially good eating. The buffet display also includes a
number of cold salads and vegetables including various forms of Kim Chi and a wide-ranging
assortment of greens. Unusual offerings include sautéed squid in a hot sauce as well as
Winkles. A table of cut fresh fruits and an assortment of cookies and pastries for your
choosing and a soft ice cream dispenser complete the buffet experience.
