This restaurant features Hong Kong Style American Cooking. The front section provides quick service and light healthy food; think fresh juices, pastries, buns and sandwiches as well as soups and pancakes. American style table service and hardy meals are available in the section to the rear.

The back section with its twinkling multi-colored tiny ceiling lights has a lengthy menu that runs the gamut from a well made French Onion Soup ($3.50) to Seafood Paella for two ($25.95) . Salads range from the Mixed Greens ($2.95) to Cold Filet Mignon ($7.95). Entrees include various forms of chicken, beef, lamb and pork. The U.K. Broiled Platter for two includes beef, pork chop, sausages, chicken and lamb with French Fries ($28.95). Here, in the background, you will hear American popular music.

The day we visited, we especially enjoyed the Cream of Seafood Soup with its elegant topping of Puff Pastry ($4.96) and the Classic Ox Tail Stew flavor enhanced with red wines ($5.95). This was served with a mound of rice on the side. Our other entrée was a spicy steak with a black pepper sauce which was presented with mixed vegetables and rice ($6.95).

There are a number of beverages available from beer (domestic and imported) to wines, soda, coffee or tea either hot or cold. We recommend the Jasmine tea.

Our servers, Sammy and Jessica, as well as the manager, Piet Li, were great help in explaining the Hong Kong based chain’s thoughts in presenting that city’s version of American dishes. It’s an interesting and different concept and the results are quite pleasing.
