| Greetings
To The Queens
Tribune:
It is a pleasure to be a part of the Queens Tribunes 33rd
Anniversary issue!
Like a fine wine, the Queens Tribune has aged with grace and
charm. It now turns a young 33 as it continues to write the history of
our borough. With more than 2.2 million residents and the largest
landmass of all the boroughs, the Tribune has a big job to do.
Covering the most diversified population in the world is not easy. The Tribune,
however, does it well, with the help of a dedicated and committed staff
and the ability to meet changing challenges.
This 33rd Anniversary issue is proof of the enduring role that this
paper has in the hearts of tens of thousands of readers who pick it up
every week. As the Tribune continues to grow and prosper, as
Queens itself, we wish you well.
May your first 33 years be the opening chapter in the history of this
premier publication.
Helen Marshall
Queens Borough President
To The Queens Tribune:
It is a pleasure to congratulate the Queens Tribune for 33-1/3
years of service to the Queens community.
On behalf of the City of New York, I recognize all those associated with
this award-winning newspaper for your many achievements and for your
significant contributions to the Queens community.
For over three decades the Tribune has exemplified the unique
diversity and spirit of the borough and has become a major source of
news for all the residents of Queens.
I commend you upon reaching this milestone and I applaud the many
talented people whose outstanding efforts have ensured the success of
your publication.
I thank you for your dedication to the community and I wish you all the
very best in your endeavors.
Michael R. Bloomberg
Mayor
To The Queens
Tribune:
Congratulations to the Queens Tribune and your superb staff on
the Tribunes 33rd anniversary. It is a pleasure to be able
each week to read a publication that provides such informative and
interesting reports about the county that we love and serve.
The Tribune continues to be required reading for those of us who
live and work in Queens County and remains a highly regarded compendium
of information for residents and visitors of the weekly happenings in
and around our country.
Again, heartiest congratulations and keep up the good work.
Richard A. Brown
Queens District Attorney
To The Queens Tribune:
Congratulations on 33 years of accomplishment, growth and service to the
people of Queens.
For more than three decades the Tribune has enjoyed an
outstanding reputation. With its fingers held firmly on the pulse of
Queens it continues to be the paper of record reporting on the
people, places and events in this vibrant borough.
Our neighborhoods, the most culturally diverse in the nation, burst with
the colors of a beautiful mosaic, the flavors and aromas of exotic
foods, and the cultures and languages that make Queens unique.
In the years to come, I know the Tribune will continue to be on
the scene to record how we meet the challenge of these times in our
quest to keep the infrastructure and services of Queens growing as
quickly as the population.
It is my hope and expectation that the Queens Tribune continues
to flourish, along with the borough it serves so well.
