What
do ATM machines, Amtrak, Crabtree & Evelyn, Jennifer Lopez, and the
Queens Tribune have in common?
|

AmTrak trains first rolled
onto the tracks in 1970 with stops all over the country.
|
They
all started in 1970.
And

first started digging deep into the community news of the City’s most
diverse borough.
And
that’s not all.
Major
events happened in 1970, from the Kent State tragedy to the death of
Jimi Hendrix. From the Beatles’ breakup to the release of the release
of Simon and Garfunkle’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water.”
|

in 1970 after nearly a decade of great music.
